Education Research Fund
First offered at the GEM in 2024, this fund supports collaborative education research. It is the only fund dedicated to such efforts in prosthetics and orthotics (P&O). Your contribution will help to ensure future awards are available to P&O program faculty seeking to improve the evidence-based in P&O education.

ISPO is planning to provide certified ISPO Auditor training at GEM 2026. On-site training will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, the day directly following GEM 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

ISPO Audit Teams are volunteers with appropriate knowledge and experience with ISPO Education Standards and Accreditation. They are responsible for assessing P&O education programmes/pathways against the ISPO Education Standards and providing recommendations for an audit outcome.

This training will be provided free-of-charge for selected participants.

The training will use a flipped-classroom format, with:

The presentations being shared with participants in the weeks prior to GEM 2026; and
A full day of on-site presentations, discussions and examination on Thursday (2026.03.26).

Participant numbers are limited, with participants selected on their suitability as Auditors in the global P&O education setting.

Priority will be given to individuals with:

Current up-to-date membership of ISPO;
Women and persons with disabilities;
Previous experience as a member of an ISPO P&O Education Audit Team; or
Current or former experience working in an ISPO accreditation P&O education programme/ pathway.
